The obsolete hand grinder brings back memories of maids in my grandfather’s village, sitting around the grinder and grinding while singing folk songs. Their hands holding the wooden stick would be bejeweled with thick silver bangles.
Life Impressive For Ever
I have these grinding stones and are now decorative pieces around the pond. I used to help the elder ladies at home when they were used to grind rice or ragi when ‘mixies’ had yet to arrive.
Wow, what a nice way to use the grinding stones.
