And I am curious as to how the priest came up with the three–dimensional sketch? And what was used to show gray color? I have many more questions, sorry. 🙂 The computer screen does not do justice to it..it is just that I have a hard time visualizing it..it is great.

Nikhila,
I think i can answer ur question.. 🙂
If i am not wrong here, Grey color is the color of the floor *-) and he has just poured rangoli powder and spread evenly and using his fingers/hand/some object has carved the shape of ganapathi n trunk over evenly spread rangoli powder. 🙂 Isn’t it Shantha 🙂
Dear Shantha,
Thank you and wish you the same to you and your family. Nice sketch!

No Nagashree you are wrong. The floor color is cream. Charcoal powder is mixed with Rangoli and is spread using a sieve.
Nikhila there is no 3D effect, it is a simple Rangoli.

Shantha
