In this trying times of the Pandemic, zen (dhyana/meditation) in life is very essential. Nutritious food during this time will boost the immunity as well as keep the moods in an upswing.
Gauthama Buddha was a wandering ascetic and would beg for alms in the streets with a bowl. The coming together of various components in a bowl was thus coined as the “Buddha Bowl”. The bowl is nutritious and filling and fun to put the bowl together.
Time required: 30 minutes to an hour depending on the components used.
Ingredients:
Avocado slices
Sprouted Moth-bean cooked with Salt, Chili powder, and Jaggery
Malabar Spinach sauteed with Salt
Sweet Corn boiled with Salt
Iceberg lettuce, Shredded
Cherry tomatoes grilled with Oil, Salt, Pepper, and Chat Masala powder
Sweet Potato, boiled, diced and toasted in Sugar
Greek Yoghurt (hung curds) mixed with Salt, Mint and Green Chili paste
Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
In a shallow bowl, arrange all the components except for the savory Greek Yoghurt.
Sprinkle Chili Flakes over the Corn. Garnish with Salt, Pepper, and Green Yoghurt and serve.
