Year round we get the Green chilies in the market and as the weather gets cooler, the ripe Red chilies add colour in the market. You immediately want to purchase and once home keep wondering what to do with it! Well here is a pickle recipe, which you can serve instantly to your impatient family members. The instant red chili pickle will sure be an instant hit during dinner!
Time required: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
10 to 12 medium size Red Chilies
4 Tbsp Mustard Oil
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Amchur / Dry Mango Powder
Pickle Spice-Mix:
1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
1 tsp Kalonji / Nigella Seeds
1 tsp Saunf / Fennel Seeds
2 tsp Coriander Seeds
2 tsp Yellow or Black Mustard Seeds
Method:
Wash and dry the red chilies. Chop them into pieces and keep aside. Dry roast Fenugreek seeds, Kalonji, Saunf, Coriander Seeds, and Mustard Seeds. Combine these spices and make a powder.
Heat Oil and add the Red Chilies. Saute for a minute.
Add the spice powder and mix well.
Saute for two minutes.
Add Salt and mix. Let it cool.
Remove to a dry airtight container.
