Tomorrow is Rama Navami and custom beckons us to prepare Kosambari and Panaka (Salad and Juice). Dates and Tamarind sparkler is a healthy and refreshing drink sans sugar.
Ingredients:
15 large Dates
1 Lemon size Tamarind
1/4 tsp Black Salt
Plain Soda or Sparkling water
Method:
Soak dates and Tamarind. Remove the pulp of Tamarind. Grind the Dates with the pulp of the Tamarind. Add 1 glass of water and mix well and sieve. Add Black Salt and divide the mixture in tall glasses. Pour Soda and Ice.
Serve garnished with Mint leaves.
