During Dasara, most of the households prepare festive food and Kosambari / salad is an integral part of the festive food. Here is a salad prepared using Apple and Corn.
Ingredients:
Juice of 1 Lemon juice
1 Apple, diced
1 Cup Corn kernels, boiled or raw
2 Green Chilies, minced
Few Coriander sprigs, chopped finely
1/2 Cup freshly grated Coconut
Salt to taste
Seasoning:
1 tsp Oil
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
A pinch of Hing/Asafoetida
Method:
Toss all ingredients except for the seasoning and gently mix. Heat Oil and add Mustard Seeds and Hing.
Cool it and add this to the salad and mix.
