An interesting and tasty dish with deep fried dumplings prepared using khova / dehydrated Milk.
Time Required: 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
For the Koftas:
1 Cup Instant Jamoon Mix
2 Onions, Chopped finely
1tsp Green Chilies paste
½ tsp Garam Masala powder
2 sprigs Coriander leaves, Chopped finely
Salt to taste
For the Gravy:
2tbsp Oil
2 Pods Garlic, Chopped finely
2 Onions, Chopped finely
1 Green Chili, Slit
1tsp Chili Powder
½ tsp Jeera / Cumin Seeds
Few slices of Ginger
1 Cup Tomato Puree
1tsp Garam Masala
2tbsp Jamoon mix powder
Coriander leaves and Cream for garnishing
Method:
For the Koftas:
Sieve Jamoon mix and remove to a mixing bowl. Add Onions, Coriander leaves, Chili paste, Garam Masala and Salt and mix well. Add water and mix to a dough. Divide into small balls and deep fry them till they turn golden brown on low flame.
For the Gravy:
Mix 2tbsp Jamoon mix powder with 3tbsp water and keep it aside. Heat Oil and add Jeera, Garlic, Ginger and Onions and sauté for 2 minutes. Add Green Chilies and Tomato Puree and stir fry until the moisture evaporates. Add Garam Masala powder, Jamoon powder water, ½ Cup of water and Salt and cook for another minute. Add the deep fried Koftas to the gravy 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with Coriander leaves and Cream and serve with Phulka, Chapathi, Paratha or Pulav.
