Mathri is a famous Tea time snack of North India. It is a crispy deep-fried snack that can be made into Mathri Chaat.

Time Required: 20 Minutes
Caution to dieters: Includes an ingredient which is deep fried (Mathri). This can be replaced with plain wheat crackers.
Ingredients:
4 Mathri
2 tbsp Soaked and steamed whole Green Gram or Peas or Chopped boiled Potato
1 tbsp Sweet Chutney
1 tsp Green Chili Chutney
2 tbsp Chopped Onion
1 Cup Curds / Yoghurt
A pinch of Black Salt
1/4 tsp Chaat Masala
1/4 tsp Roasted Jeera / Cumin Powder
1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
2 tbsp Plain Sev
Salt to taste
Method:
Break the Mathri and arrange in a plate.
Layer Green Gram and Onion over the Mathri.
Mix Curds with Jeera Powder, Black Salt and Salt. Pour Curds over the Mathri. Add Sweet chutney and Green Chilies chutney.
Sprinkle Sev and Coriander leaves and serve immediately.
