The vada is mashed Potato and spices mixture balls dipped in batter and deep fried. This vada is sandwiched between a pav (a type of bread) along with spicy chutneys. Vada Pav is a very popular snack in the state of Maharashtra and the busy Mumbaiites prefer to eat them on the go.
Cuisine: Maharashtra
Time Required: 1 Hour
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
4 Pav (a type of bread resembling the bun)
4 Alu Bonda also known as Alu Vada
Pudina/Mint Chutney
Garlic Chutney or Garlic Peanut Chutney Powder
Accompaniment:
Sweet Chutney or Tomato Ketchup
Method:
Cut the Pav into half horizontally.
On one part smear a tsp of Mint Chutney and on the other spread Garlic Chutney Powder.
Keep the vada on one part of the pav.
Keep the other side of the pav over it and gently press by hand. It is okay if the vada breaks.

I tried your recipe for pav bhaji. It is very good and comes out so flavourful and aromatic. Great photographs. Keep up the good job.
